Thanks for joining us for another episode of Trivial Warfare. Chris is back in his rightful chair and anxious to put me in my place after I won the two handicap matches we held while he was away.
Carmela is in the host's chair again and challenged us with some really tough questions to start the game. Don't Panic though, it will be ok in the end!
I hope you enjoy the show!
For your amusement, here's some classic Statler and Waldorf.
During the Civil War what was the term used for a northern sympathizer living in the south?
So, I think the question may have been worded poorly. That’s not necessarily Carmela’s fault either. Questions come from a wide variety of sources and sometimes you get a dud. A copperhead typically did not live in the south and they weren’t really a northern sympathizer. Copperheads were northerners who favored a quick negotiated peace and did not want the war to continue. It would have been more appropriate to say they were southern sympathizers living in the north. Here are two references.

El Kabong was one of Quickdraw McGraw’s alter egos. In the clip we see him call his sidekick Baba Looey.
I pulled out this particular note because I had no idea that’s how Baba Booey got his name!
“The executive producer of The Howard Stern Show, Gary Dell'Abate, is eternally branded with the nickname "Baba Booey" after he mispronounced Baba Looey's name during a discussion of original cartoon cels. Dell'Abate was contemplating the purchase of a Quick Draw/Baba Looey cel, but kept referring to the sidekick as "Baba Booey." Stern and his cohorts poked fun at Dell'Abate for wanting to spend so much money on a character whose name he didn't even know."

Name 4 out of the 5 quarterbacks that wore the number 12 jersey during a winning Super Bowl game?
You’ll never find a category that we get more excited about than a challenging football question. We both know a lot about the NFL and so we get really excited when we get those questions
Turns out that this question probably could have been more specific too. I needed to indicate that the quarterbacks started the game. There are multiple examples of backup quarterbacks of Super Bowl winning teams wearing number 12 including Tony Banks for the Ravens and Earl Morrell for the Dolphins, both of whom were replaced as their teams starter in-season.
Here’s a picture of Joe Montana not wearing the number 12. He looks smug about it doesn’t he?
