Before we get started I want to let you know how fun recording the last few episodes has been. I think you can really hear it in this one. The jokes about trumpet butt and fire down below really had us laughing. Marc is back for his second week asking questions and keeping us on our toes.
We start the episode with some warm up questions that really tickled our funny bones and then moved on the main event. This week’s midpoint question focuses on the Stanley Cup while the final tests your knowledge of well-known numbers. In the middle you’ll enjoy questions about music, alcohol, science (SCIENCE!), and others.
Tomorrow when we release our latest show you may notice that we reference it as Episode 7. If you've been paying attention you'll notice that we jumped straight from Episode 5 to 7. So what's the deal? Did we make a mistake? Do we have a problem with simple counting?
The truth is that we did record a 6th episode. I have it loaded to my personal iTunes as a music file. It's 22 minutes long rather than our normal target of 30+ and it's not very good. Actually, I think that's overly kind. It pretty much stinks. I'm okay admitting this, it's good to be honest with yourself and with your listeners. You aren't always going to hit homeruns. Sometimes you have to settle for singles. Unfortunately this was more like striking out after fouling off a bunt attempt on a two-strike count. Chris and I hadn't had a very good day leading up to the recording and you could tell in the final product.
Since the product is not up to our standards we decided to scrap it and will not release it to the public. We did not want to pass along a lackluster show to you and add that to your opinion of us.
However, there is good news. Episode 7 is already recorded and ready to go and will be released tomorrow in the place of Episode 6, relegating Episode 6 to a "lost episode" status and will only be remembered due to the reference on this page.
